Riding Mountain National Park is one of 39 National parks that can be found across Canada.  Riding Mountain provides experiences that range from "pure wilderness" to a "full resort".  This living, breathing and ever-changing ecosystem hosts a vast variety of plant and animal life.  Prairie areas of the park  are made for exploring, whether by horse, bicycle or on foot.

HUNTING:      The Wildlife Management Area of Onaonle has gently rolling topography with numerous wetlands and small creeks throughout. It is heavily treed with aspen and white spruce dominating. Balsam poplar, bur oak and white birch are also present. The understorey is primarily hazel with a good mixture of red osier dogwood, chokecherry, willow, cranberry, rose, Saskatoon and bog birch.      White-tailed deer, elk, moose, black bears, wolves, ruffed grouse, great gray owls and beaver are found in this area.
GOLF:      There are several quality courses nearby, for the golf enthusiast.  Clear Lake, Elk Horn Ranch and Lakeview (the local Onanole course) are all within 5 minutes of the cabins.  Sandy Lake, Minnedosa and Gilbert Plains/Grandview (to name a few) are just 30 minutes away.
