Canadian Government approved workers from China are available on 3 year work permits for most categories. Some classifications are cleared in days while others take a few months. These are 3 year obligations. The worker is tied to the employer for the full 3 year term or will face deportation. They are not allowed to go down the street and work for your competitor.
