PIN
Marketing and Technology is a venture project of the parent
company PIN SERVICES Ltd., which has been in business since 1998.
PIN SERVICES Ltd. (www.pin.ca) is located in
beautiful Victoria, British Columbia and provides services across Canada and around the
world.
M. Brian Palmer,
Technology Manager and company partner, has had a diverse and interesting career, mainly in the
fields of IT and Education. While Brian graduated with
Distinction from the University of Guelph with a degree in
Physical Chemistry his diverse interests
took him far afield.
After obtaining a
degree in Education from the University of Western Ontario and teaching High School
Physics, Math, and Computer Science at inner city schools in Toronto Brian fulfilled a
dream to move out west and ended up attending the University of
Victoria. After a semester of math and computer science courses Brian became employed in BC
Hydro’s IT department and worked his way up from Help Desk to Server and Network
Administration and Project Management.
Brian’s path lead him to become dissatisfied with current modes of
technology use and education and a chance encounter lead him to form a
partnership with the President of PIN Services, Eric Jordan, and a new
venture was formed.
Brian believes that to create positive change in people’s lives and in
the ways we are living new modes of choosing, using and supporting
technology are required. The ability and vision to achieve this is
Brian’s core expertise.
Brian is, and has been, a competitive marathon runner, triathlete, and
road and mountain biker. He is currently an aspiring guitarist who
performs at venues around Victoria and volunteers in his free time as a
tutor for Literacy Victoria.
